Students in a spring 2008 News and Feature Writing class at Kansas State University interviewed people in the Manhattan, Kansas area about their recollections and experiences during World War II. The students then wrote articles, some of which were published in local newspapers. The class was taught by Gloria Freeland, assistant professor in the A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communications at K-State.
