Sharing - The news of a new cancer diagnosis arrived just as a project Gloria had worked on for more than 10 years was about to conclude. Not wanting to potentially impact the public portion of a related event, it was decided to share Gloria's situation with only daughters Mariya and Katie until after that September 26 event.

That update was shared via e-mail on this day. However, by having had so many events before this date, the resulting message was both long and dense with information. Add in the nature of the subject and it was not a "light read!"

The next milestone will be Gloria's second lumpectomy on September 30.
