Morganville-Feves Committee
Morganville, Kansas
AIR MAIL

Dear Mr. Roenigk:

Your letter of October 6th arrived only this morning with its request for information on the possibility of your shipping supplies to Feves through the Unitarian Service Committee.

We would be very glad to cooperate with your Morganville Committee, and suggest the following procedure:

Send the packages containing the food and clothing to:

UNITARIAN COLLECTION WAREHOUSE
2331 - 12th Avenue at 133rd St.
New York 27, N.Y.

and make sure that each package is clearly marked on the outside:

"FOR FEVES, FRANCE"

We must know details of what you send - not types of used clothing, but total weight used clothing, total weight of foods and values you place on t he different types of supplies.

The costs to your group will be that of transportation to New York, packing (or baling) of clothing, trucking to pier and ocean insurance. Ocean freight is reimbursed to us as a registered relief agency, by ECA, on all relief shipments to France, but we ourselves charge a $5.00 service fee for each separate shipment we make for another organization or group; this charge we have found necessary to cover the overhead in correspondence and other office activities in connection with each shipment.

If these arrangements are satisfactory to you, please send the materials along at your convenience. If by any chance this is to be a Christmas shipment, you would do well to get it started at once, if you wish it to arrive there before December 25th.

Thank you for writing to us, and we look forward to your reply.

Very sincerely yours,
UNITARIAN SERVICE COMMITTEE, INC.
