First Gift to Feves
The honor of sending the first gift to Feves, France, goes to Homer Christenson who donated all proceeds from his
popcorn stand at the pageant to the project. This gift means a good deal more than it sounds as Mr. Christenson must
work from a wheel chair or canes due to his crippled condition in later years. The money was spent for candy for
the children of Feves who were told who donated the candy. The joy of giving to the children was ampIe recompense to
Mr. Christenson. This was sent immediately after the pageant. Since then, a shipment of wearing apparel was sent and
more is being collected at the City Hall.
