Help With UNESCO Work
The local UNESCO Committee have been receiving clothing for Feves, France, this week it the City Hall. Remember
that you may leave clothing, bedding, shoes, any articles of clothing such as we use, clean and in good condition. A
box is being shipped and others will follow soon as enough is collected. Look through your homes. Perhaps you may
find some clothing you can spare that will bring comfort to the citizens of Feves this coming winter. If shoes can
be repaired, leave them [for there is] a place in Kansas City of disabled veterans will do this for practice work.
They do not charge and will not compete with established shoe shops.
Yesterday, one group of women met and cut blocks for a woolen comforter. If you have any woolen clothes too worn to
be sent, they can be cut into blocks for comforters. This work will continue, but bring in as soon as possible as
it will take time to get it made up and shipped.
