Letter from August W. Kolling
A. W. Kolling, who is traveling in Europe, sent us the following letter which will be of interest to others:
"I arrived in Metz, France Wednesday, August 20th, and Pfc George Johnson was at the station to meet me. I was glad he got
leave so we spent two happy days together.
"I called Feves and Mr. And Mrs. Torlotting came to the hotel in their car and took George and I to Feves for the
afternoon and evening and brought us back to our hotel. The next morning, Mr. Torlotting came for us, and after lunch they
took us to Luxembourg and we visited the American cemetery where 5070 of our boys are buried. They took us back to Feve
with them and we enjoyed another evening with them. The next day, George left for Paris and I left the 23rd for Zurich,
Switzerland. ..." (Remainder unrelated to Fves.)
