Dear Mark,

My wife, Gloria Freeland, is a professor at Kansas State University in the school of Journalism here in Manhattan, Kansas.

This past spring, she had her class work on a project to document the small towns of Clay County, KS. These stories will reside in the Chapman Center at Kansas State University and a version will also be published in the Clay Center Dispatch, the Clay Center newspaper and possibly other area newspapers as well.

Since these were students new to researching and writing, my wife asked me to proof the details and English of their submissions since I have been "into" family history for many years.

While researching on the web, I came across the memorial to your mother and were wondering about possibly using some of what you had written to include in the story.

For that, we would like your permission.

In addition, what the story is sadly missing is any details from the Feve's side. Your comments add a touch of that.

But what immediately came to mind was whether you have in your possession any pictures taken in Feves at the time your parents visited there and, if so, would you be willing to share those as they would be a great addition.
