Dear Lafe,

I hope that this communication reaches you before you leave New York.

Margaret and I were down at the cabin over the weekend, trying to arrange for the opening of our cabins within the next couple of weeks. We did not arrive home until last evening and found your letter awaiting us.

We do hope that you and Clare will be able to see us here in Colorado, either here in Denver or in Green Mountain Falls, whichever you might prefer. It is too bad that you do not have more time and I am afraid that you will find it pretty strenuous to attempt all the things that you plan. It is, however, only about a 12 hour ride from Wichita to Colorado Springs or Denver.

For your Information, our residence phone is Fremont 3203 and my office phone [is] Keystone 2211.

I think Margaret and Ruth are going to be at the cabin over this next weekend. I possibly may go down, but do not expect to.
