Dear Sir,
I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of April 7th. I thank you so much for your work and your intention
to affiliate Clervaux and Medicine Lodge, Kansas. We appreciate very much your desire to make people of both
continents acquainted with each other. I congratulate you too that you have chosen Clervaux because you know that
at Clervaux stands the castle of the Delannoy Family who are the ancestors of the late President Roosevelt's.
We hope that the people of the two communities will start a good exchange of sentiments and by order of Mr.
Dupong, the Luxembourg Prime Minister, I shall help them on this way.
I hope that you have Luxembourg in good remembrance and that you have forgotten the little difference of meanings
between Mr. Wolff and I of which you have been the unlucky spectator during your stay here. I have yourself in the
best memory and I beg you to receive my best regards.
Today I shall write also to Mrs. Winnie Knox who seems to be a most charming lady.
Yours truly,
(handwritten)
Joseph Petit
