Dear Mr. Roenigk,
I wish to acknowledge receipt of your letter of March 31 and to thank you for the information you gave me regarding the
adoption by your city of the town of Feves.
I have immediately written to the Customs Inspector at Orly Field, asking them to kindly consider sending the painting to
Feves, duty free, if the customs regulations permit such a step. If this cannot be done, I have asked him to let me know
what the charges will amount to.
As soon as I hear from Orly, I will contact you again to let you know what decision has been reached.
Sincerely yours,
(Signature)
J.J. Viala
Consul General of France.
