Dear Ed and Billie:
Just a line this morning to let you know that I had a letter yesterday from the Paris office of American Aid to
France; that they had shipped the picture, so that will take the bother of looking after this off your hands.
According to Hazel, you, are still waiting for your orders. We were down there Sunday Night and, of course, Orb
and I lost to the women in pinochle.
Did the French Customs finally decide what the customs would amount to on our painting to Feves which was waiting
their action at the Orly Airfield? The last I heard from it, it was there awaiting the customs officials action.
We had the express paid on It from Paris to Feves, and if you have the time to inquire about the customs due on
this painting, I could send you the money for it, in case you folks are still there, as we would like this to
arrive at Feves without any charges due. Hope to be seeing you folks soon.
Sincerely,
Daniel J. Roenigk
