Dear Mr Roenigk:
This letter to inform you that we are shipping to your address, this day, a large woodcarving which is a
picture representing a household scene, done like a painting. This was sent to us by your Feves friends who
asked us to complete all the customs and administrative formalities, on our side. Of course, we had no
difficulty at all and we hope that it will be the same for you, upon the arrival of the parcel. It is quite
possible, that, insisting on the particular and friendly nature of this gift, the U.S. Customs Office will be
most helpful and cooperative in this matter.
We hope this parcel will reach you in good condition and we shall be very glad to hear from you about its
arrival.
We remain,
Very sincerely yours,
(Signed) Louis Clamaron
