Dear Friends;
Hope you folks are settled in your new French home, and that you like it as much as you did [Cairo]. I spent ten days in
Paris Xmas of 1918 and she was a real place then, and I dont suppose it has improved any since then? Your folks tell me
you intend going to see the town of Feves if you ever get the time and permits. It would be nice if you could, as that way
you could give us some first-hand information on what they are getting, that we have shipped. Hope your French by that
time will be so you can talk to them some, as there is only one person in the village that can talk broken English. In
case you folks could go, would you take a roll of 35-mm colored pictures of Feves and the people for me. If you will,
I will send you the roll of film and that way we could show the pictures here to the Morganvillites that have made this
project a success. I would like to have the roll for my own as that would fill out the ones that I have taken here of
different customs [costumes] and people in it. We are finally having spring and the side roads are nearly impassable.
Most of the farmers come to town on their tractors, as the roads will not manage a car. I never saw such roads as we have
this winter. We are all well with the exception of a few head colds. Our pinochle has been scarce this past week as
something is always interfering.
Sincerely,
