UNESCO Committee Met

The local UNESCO committee met Tuesday night at the schoolhouse. Miss Velma Carson, chairman, presided. According to the report read by the treasurer D.J. Roenigk, $217.08 was made by the Noel party after expenses were paid. A report of the goods shipped to our adopted town of Feves, France showed two large boxes of clothing, milk, candy, school supplies and a Christmas box. Mrs. Norman Canfield, chairman of the committee on infant clothing, gave a report on the amount they have ready to ship. There is also a shipment of comforters and blankets ready to go.

A number of letters have been received from Feves and are being translated by Mrs. Harold Weber of Clifton. The committee is anxious to get fats and seeds sent soon.

A number of letters have been received from other towns wanting to adopt a town such as Morganville did and seeking information how to proceed. A letter from the mayor of Healdsburg, Calif. was received the past week.
