Clare Davis Powell weds C. L. Todd in New York Thursday

The marriage of Charles L. Todd, former Dunkirker, to Clare Davis Powell of New York City took place on Thursday, January 6 in the All Souls Unitarian Church, New York City. The marriage ceremonies were conducted by the Reverend Herbert Hitchen of West Newton, Mass., also a former resident of Dunkirk.

Mrs. Todd is the widow of Richard Chew Powell of New York City and Philadelphia. Her two sons, Evan and David Powell, were ushers at the wedding. Both boys attend the South Kent School in Connecticut.

Mr. Todd was formerly married to Elspeth Vaughan Davies, who is now living in Geneva, Switzerland. This marriage was terminated in divorce in 1947.
