Dennis J. Babb, age 75, of Appleton passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

He was born to the late Willis Harold Babb and Eileen �Irish� Katherine (Babino) Babb on August 8, 1944. He was a 1962 graduate of Appleton (West) High School where he participated in basketball and golf.

Dennis married Mary Koch on May 6, 1967 at St. Mary�s Catholic Church in Kaukauna. He spent most of his career selling golf equipment to courses and pro shops throughout Wisconsin. In 1970, Babb set a record at Appleton's Reid Municipal Golf Course with a 7-under-par 64. He won numerous golf tournaments. In addition to his passion for golf, Dennis loved fishing on Lake Michigan at Bay de Noc. He was also an avid Bears, Brewers and Badgers fan. He enjoyed coaching boys basketball at Sacred Heart school for several years and golf at Xavier high school. Most of all, he and Mary loved attending the sporting events of their great nieces and nephews.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary; his sister Cathy (Pete) Hahn; his nieces: Holly (Jason) Brenner and their children Audrey, Jack and Katherine; Heather (Joe) Nett and their children Isaac, Jonah and Griffin; Haley (Erich) Ehle and their children Braden and Tucker; and Mandy Koch; and his nephew Travis Koch; his sister-in-law Joan Koch and his brother-in-law John Koch. He was preceded in death by both of his parents.

A memorial service for Dennis was held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Brettschneider Trettin Nickel Funeral Chapel, 606 N Oneida Street, Appleton. Friends visited from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The remains were cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Dennis�s name to St. Jude�s Children�s Hospital or other charity.
